The VDR COMPACT is an office full page ePassports reader complying to ICAO standards, able also to read visas, identity cards or other secured documents.
Without any moving parts, the VDR COMPACT is reliable, compact, robust, easy to install and integrate. Accompanied by a comprehensive and powerful software, the VDR COMPACT performs, high resolution, fast scanning of documents from 3 or more light sources, reads MRZ and 2D bar codes, and reads data from contactless chip whatever its form factor. Reading the MRZ is in less than 2 seconds.
Contactless (RFID) is made through Orcanthus ISO 14443 reader with id3 semiconductors technologie inside, considered as one of the best and fastest on the market.
The VDR software validates the contents of the chip and the MRZ, and performs control of the data. 2 SAM supports allow the use of advanced authentication techniques and access.
Designed for easy and rapid integration, the reader VDR COMPACT can be integrated into third party equipment or any other type of system where the speed and ease of use are key issues (self-service kiosks, various terminals, systems automation for the immigration control at borders, etc.).
